I wanted to know where NPVR stores the recording information in the DB that you can export from the configuration screen. The reason i ask is that since my recordings were mapped to \\SRV-SAITOH\Recorded TV originally, i exported my recording list changed all the paths to that contained \\SRV-SAITOH\Recorded TV to V:\. Then i moved all my recordings out of \\SRV-SAITOH\Recorded TV so that NPVR registers them as gone, restarted NPVR service...recordings were now gone. Moved recordings back to \\SRV-SAITOH\Recorded TV but imported my recording file that points to V:\ and restarted service again. They showed up but then today they were gone again. I imported them again, restarted the service. I checked in NEWA and it doesnt see them but in NPVR they appear. So i wanted to go check the DB to see what it had but i only find the 3 recordings i had in my Default path.

On a side note for future reference, what is the proper procedure if we need to change the path of a recording that is stored?

Edit
I found them im the DB table Scheduled recording.
I stopped the service, imported the shows, started the service again, refresh the npvr DB table and they appeared. waited a bit and then refresh the table again and the entries disappeared....wth is going on..lol

config.xml has AutoRemoveMissingRecordings and NoRemoveWhenTreeMissing that control the auto deletion of recordings.

they are both set to false already. Also another thing i noticed in the DB is that the start time and End time dont correspond to what is setup in NPVR GUI. Stuff that are set to record at 8pm for instance show a starting in the DB table of 1am the following day
ie: Record show A today at 8pm till 10pm + 2min post padding = Start time 24th feb 1am till 2am + 2min post padding

Also i noticed under the Recently Deleted Table 1 entry at 2h16am , is there a way to know what deletion its refering to and could it be the cause for my recordings to disappear once i add them back and start the service?

I can't help with your problem but to clear up the confusion WRT start / end times, the EPG data is normalized to UTC (the same as GMT). In the case of your 8pm recording showing as starting at 1am on the following day, this is because Canada is -5 hours from GMT.

Cheers,
Brian

In North America you can go back to zap2it.com and find the unique_id through a few URLs. What is the unique_id you are looking for.

Is v:\ a mapped drive? The recording service is running as a different user account, and wont see any drives you've mapped under your account, so when it loads the recording list it wont be able to find these files and assume you've manually deleted them, and will proceed to delete them from the database.

I know you said you set AutoRemoveMissingRecordings to false, but maybe you needed to restart the recording service after changing that setting before it took effect.
