nutts4life Wrote:Guys,

I've read all these threads so i hope i'm not going mad.

When I installed npvr i immediately put on the patches found in sub's sticky thread:
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...arted-info

I happened to fall upon this thread which i can't decide whether it was posted early or later that the overall patches.
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...er-changes
BUT either way, when i replace my NShared.dll with the file in this thread (over the patched NShared.dll version), my livetv buffer stops when it is suppose to and starts when it is suppose to.

The problem goes away.

Channel changes still take too long.... but that is for another of subs magical days.
Can someone tell me that I am not going mad Smile

You're not mad. That nshared.dll patch was from BEFORE the R2 patches but I had too many issues with the R2 patches that I have also went back to that version for now until this issue is resolved.

I give up Sad

I just cant get this to run smoothly. So sad because I love XBMC so much. I've literally spent my entire weekend with nothing to show. My biggest hangup right now is the crash I get every time I click on the EPG: Timeline

Oddly enough...it was due to me not having all my show info filled out in the xml....never read anywhere that every single one of them must be filled out or else you'll crash. Prob missed it. I'm back in the game!

Sorry but it's still doing the same. Switching from Live TV to another video source doesn't stop Npvr from recording the channel and if you exit xbmc it continues to record until I restart the service.
I will recreate and submit debug logs shortly.

Here's my logs and did exactly the same process as before. Start Npvr service, launch Xbmc, start channel, navigate to video file, playback video file, exit xbmc, stop Npvr service.

Can you post the logs showing a few channel changes, then stopping live tv instead?

Here you go.
This time I started the service, launched xbmc, launched a channel, changed the channel twice & then pressed stop, exited xbmc and stopped the service.
The recording was still active after exit and when stopping the service.
