LiveTV Freezes Are Back on Clients

I rebooted just to be sure something wasn't screwy, and re-verified my file versions. Then I reproduced the problem on just the server. Logs attached.

I note the following in the log when I first try to skip backwards and it jumps to -2:50:

562 seconds - 392 seconds=170 seconds... exactly 2 minutes, 50 seconds.

I'm seeing the -2:50 skip back problem as well. Once I tried it I realized that I had seen it once before recently as well.

I don't have the post-R2 rollup installed.

I don't have post r2 (oddly not r3?) but close and my hdpvr files report 0 on the client fine

I have to admit that since rolling files came out I am so scared about skipping back stopping live tv on anything important that I rarely use it. Once bitten twice shy.

couldn't quite decide what to call it. it was just meant to be a temporary patch roll-up for those who wanted to try the latest code ahead of the upcoming 2.5.xx release (which sub has mentioned several times here, so I'm not letting out any secrets). as I didn't want to explicitly list all the fixes like normal, and the live tv freezing fixes are not complete, I didn't think it deserved the "official" R3 designation. nitpicking, I know...

so that makes it pretty clear that the problem has been introduced by updates made within the past couple of weeks.

as a final test, I found a couple more updated NPVR files (NShared.dll from earlier today, and NPVRTSMon.ax released on 2/14) and repeated my live tv test; the -2:50 problem remains. I didn't think there'd be any change, just wanted to be running the very latest code.

Do you have this registry setting: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\NPVR\SlipSeconds?

I have the post R2 patches installed and I can skip far beyond the -2.50 limit others are struggeling with.
