I was wondering if anyone had thought of a file explorer plugin?

I have many different devices (digital camera, mp3 player, smartphone etc) and would often like to copy information to/from GBPVR. As my HTPC is a dedicated machine, I have only the remote and it would be great just to have some basic file handling without having to get out the mouse and muck around in windows. This is one of the plugins I found very usefull while using media portal and would be great in GBPVR. Would have thought it should be easy to implement as well.

Just an Idea...if only I was a programmer!

Hi Jorm,

Thanks for the good news. I'll keep and eye out to see what develops!!

It's really nice to know someone looks at these ideas - and take your time. Just seemed like an easy idea that would give GBPVR increased flexability.

Wow that was fast! I haven't tried it yet, but I do have one request. Rename files and folders via remote via MVP. I know it would be cumbersome, but I have had reasons in the past when it would be nice.

Like playing files, and wondering what 20050711xxx.mpg is. Then playing it, and being able to rename it while I im looking at it. maybe like using phone mode input for letters like fastfind uses.

Speaking of which, how do you enter 2 of the same letters in fast find????

I would like to do rename and create directory. But wanted to get something out.

As for the fast find thing. I know. I need to add logic to clear the last key if the direction keys are touched. Next release.

Great. and great! On my cell phone, if you wanted to type "Bad" you would hit "2" twice, wait like 2 seconds and hit it again, then hit "3"

I was trying to avoid timers. any direction key will allow you to enter the same char again
