edit again: nevermind, I just downloaded the installer to a client PC, and see all the files are updated now.

Yeah, uploaded a new installer last night to work around this file date/time vs upgrade problem.

So relieved I found this thread! I had already done a new windows/xbmc/npvr install a few days ago thinking that I had knackered something. Thank you for the update to fix this issue.

Can you reproduce the problem with 2.6.2 and this updated addon, then post the logs?

I have serious problems with this updated addon, using Marcels special 12.1 with included nvrp addon channel change is awsome. First tune is allways slow 5-6 seconds, but following, my estimate with tuning involved 1-2 sec, and on same transponder sometimes less than a second.

But I had to try this updated plugin (new is better :O ) But this one gives me serious problems, although the backend change channels xbmc does not, it just stays there working and the backend drops the channel again since xbmc isn't playing it.

it goes like this:
1. I invoke channel change in xbmc
2. npvr backend change channel
3. xbmc "working....."
4. npvr backend stops timeshifting channel
5. xbmc "working....."

If interested I could provide logs, if so please hint what logs are needed.

Reproduce the problem, and post the xbmc.log, and nrecord.log/web.log and I'll take a look.

ok, so I try to reproduce this and it was a bit hard, I set xbmc to debug log. I have 2 sets of log, det first one xbmc.zip is a clean log and the second nrecord.zip is a new xbmc.log but a continuation of the npvr logs.

This is what happened
1. I zappet through a lot of channels, working fine.
2. then after a while (channel VOX) it fails, backend changes channel, but not xbmc.
3. I press stop and xbmc completely locks up, I have to kill it.

This is the first logset xbmc.zip

Then I restart xbmc.
1. I zap through lots of channels, working fine.
2. then after a while it fails (at this point I think a new web.log is created, not sure about this)
3. I press back and stop
4. after a while I get a tuner error
5. I try to start channel again, but it will not work, backend starts but not xbmc, then backend drops the channel again.

This is in logset nrecord.zip


BTW, that web.log is growing insanly fast, seems to be logging every packet sent, could it be turned off ?

Yeah I'm also having major issues, the original problem has disappeared but the new problems make it even more unusable. I'm constantly having to restart with channels not starting, tuner not available and channels appearing to play but getting only a black screen etc.. I also wiped my machine and built it fresh, still the same problems unfortunately.
My logs are on the previous page.
I'm moving flat this weekend so may not be able to do any testing for a while but I'll keep an eye on this forum for any updates.

1st channel tuned ok, next 2 attempts failed with xbmc just saying working and then crashing.

Hey Sub, would any more logs help you solve this problem? I have been eagerly watching this thread and I would like to do anything I can to help this issue get solved faster.
