Hauppauge WinTV-DCR-3250

Just came across this new tuner from Hauppauge. 3 tuner, networked, cablecard. Looks like it is only at Best Buy, $180.

It is listed as compatible with NextPVR. Is this true?

Is it identical? I assume the DCR-3250 will work for the same copy-freely channels as the DCR-2650. Does the HDHR Prime work for all the same channels?

Before buying this I'd want to know if it supports DLNA DTCP-IP like the Prime. Don't trust Hauppauge they might release another model in two months.

So...after I started this thread, and wondering about the HDHR Prime...I found a new firmware update for my DCR-2650. I hoped it might fix the last little occasional problem of not shutting off a tuner properly. After the firmware "update" it started having the old problem of losing connection very often, which I had resolved previously by disabling the USB selective suspend settings. Now that would not fix it, and I was fed up with fighting the DCR-2650 problems. :mad:

My new HDHR Prime arrived two days later. It works well, except, the third tuner doesn't work. I'll start a new thread.

I wondered if it was just my imagination, but it sounds like you had the same thing happening, much more often having the losing connection problem, particularly on the machine that stays on all the time. I also got tired of messing with it, and ordered a Prime. I didn't associate it with the firmware upgrade, but since I did upgrade recently, that might be it.
