I have lots of TV shows I want o burn to DVD and I find that the volume on them is about half of normal. Regular TV and the menu on my DVD is twice as loud as the mpeg2 files I have burned. Any adjustment I can do to start recording louder? Anybody know of a good tool to adjust the volume on my mpeg2 files I already have?

I have the same thing, except my recordings are lower volume than regular broadcasts (from the same source).

As my volume is always controlled by my amp, I would love to know if there is a way of outputting the volume always at 0dB (and disabling volume control with buttons on the Hauppauge remote) so all amplification is left to my receiver

Well, after days of reasearch the only way I have found to adjust the volumes on the videos is to de-mux the audio, adjust the volume, then re-mux the audio. What a pain! Does anyone know of a better and simpler way?

Sub can't answer everything, I was hoping some other members would be able to help. I have found a few topics on the web that refer to some registry settings for the Hauppage driver that may control this. I will post a link after I get home.

Have you tried going into the advanced Microsoft Volume settings and bumping the Recording Volume sliders to the max? You might want to ensure that the playback volume sliders are maxed out too as well as the volume sliders of all your other media players (Real, Quicktime and especially Windows Media Player). Not sure if it will fix your problem, but worth a shot.

Well, I went through these settings and nothing in particular references the board itself. There is justa tweak for the winTV2k app. Anyway, the other settings might be useful to some, so I will post them anyway:

Oh yeah, and I do have all my volume sliders at max, as well as my media player's volume slider.
