XBMC 12.1 playing recording whilst still recording stops

Sorry for he odd title...

My issue is when I start playing a file that is being recorded (from the Recordings directory) it will only see a snapshot when it starts of where it is up to and then only play the segment that was visible when it started to play the currently recording show.

I can play Live TV and anything that has been recorded without any issues. I was having this problem on 2.5.9R2 so just tried to upgrade to 2.6.2 with no change. I have also tried XBMC 12, 12.1, 12.2pre and 13 Alpha 3, all the same result...

Any ideas what I can do to allow playing of a currently recording show? I often like to start watching a program that is half way through to skip the adverts....

I think that is a different issue isn't it?

I know how to manually refresh something that had just started recording in XBMC from the Recording directory....no issue with this. My problem is when I start playing a file that is currently recording in only plays up to the second I started, any new data that has been put in to the TS file isn't presented to XBMC and it simple stops playing the file....make sense?

It's a pretty big one...only seems to have happened recently...

It never worked for me with http streaming.

Isn't watching a In Live recording pretty much a huge feature that most would use? Maybe only some people are having this issue (those looking in the forums) and others are not, indicating a particular setup/plug-in that might be causing it?

If you read that thread I referenced with the linked thread on the xbmc forums, http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=139793 you'd see they identify it as an XBMC issue. It is an http issue so you can still play files from libraries (or x-newa) using file mode access.

Hmm, I remember on Frodo 12 and NextPVR 2.5.9R2 all worked okay for me in terms of the above issue...do you know if anything changed since this version? Also, do you know if it is being looked at to be fixed? It's a glaring issue..

Sorry I don't know anything about it working in the PVR interface. The links I have already pointed you at, drill down to this open bug report http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/13309 that goes back to Eden.
