This USB stick worked like a champ with NextPVR. I had tried to get it to work with BeyondTV 4.9, but wasn't supported. Tried Blaze (which came with the stick) - which is a total piece of garbage software (and support was even worse). Arcsoft TotalMedia was slightly better, but still terrible. But, hold on a minute - got it working with NextPVR in like 20 minutes - and NextPVR is free software - what is not to love about this, great software, great UI, totally open .xml for customizations - I think I died and went to heaven! I got this USB stick for less than $20 - now despite Comcast and their crapola about needing an external box (liars!), this little stick managed to pull in all the clear QAM channels so I am back on track with taping my standard programs.
I live in Northern California, and have the most basic Comcast cable package, btw. Get network TV in HD (and lots of PBS stations I never even heard of). And Discovery channel is back - woo hoo!
