Hi,

I have a Pinnacle 320e hybrid (digital & analogue tuners) stick which shows up fine in the OS, but doesn't show up in NextPVR.
Although it works fine with Windows Media Centre, it's a pretty old device, so I went out today & bought a new one.
I've seen a lot of people say that Hauppauge's work well with NextPVR so I bought a Hauppauge WinTV-Duet (2 digital tuners), but guess what - That doesn't show up either...

Have I just been unlucky in having two unsupported devices, or is there some configuration step I need to do?

Many thanks for any help,
Paul

Can you view the Settings->Devices screen, then post your npvr.log file?

According to that, you should have one device listed 'Hauppauge WinTV MOD7700 DVB-T Tuner (Dev1 Path0)'. Do you see that on the Settings->Devices screen?

There is no sign of any digital drivers being installed for your Pinnacle 320e.

It doesn't bother looking for analog drivers since your machine doesn't have SoftPVR installed (see sticky support thread)

Hi Sub,

Nope - That's the daft thing... No devices listed in Settings->Devices.

Any ideas on where to look for the break please?

(I removed the Pinnacle btw)

Many, many thanks for taking the time...

Did you follow internet links on how to install BDA drivers?

Hi Martin,

Thanks for the reply. I hadn't gone down that route because what I've read about BDA drivers for Hauppauge cards is that they're to pretend to applications that a DVB-S device is really a DVB-T one, and this actually is DVB-T (isn't it?).

Many thanks,
Paul

You've already got the Hauppauge BDA drivers installed.

Martin was asking about other Microsoft BDA components that are often missing from Server builds of Windows.

Hmm, looks like it should be there.

Can you zip and attach your npvr.db3?

Hi Sub,

Sorry, I didn't know there're more than one chunk of BDA drivers to worry about.

Attached is the zip of the npvr.db3.

Once again - Thanks for your time guys.
