When I'm recording a show in "Series" mode, it's picking up all the repeated viewings. In the EPG, they're marked as [RPT]. Is there a way to get the program to ignore these ones, and not record them?

I'm still pretty new to this application, and was looking at the GuidePlus utitlity, but I'm not sure how to use it to stop repeats from recording, or if it's possible to do so?

For reference, I'm on an x64 Windows 7 machine.

The application can only tell one show from another if the EPG source provides this info. Unfortunately that info is fairly limited. It's mainly only available in North America, and a few select destinations in other parts of the world (often where epgCollector is used, and show identifiers are included in the broadcast). Without this info, the application has now way to know if a show is a duplicate of something you've already got.

In your case, you might be able to avoid the problem by having a 'timeslot season recording', rather than a 'record all episodes on this channel'.

Thanks for the info, is there a bit of leeway in the "timeslot" recording? as the show I'm recording can vary by up to an hour, and different lengths on different days?

Yes, by default it'll look for a shows with the same name that start +/-90 minutes of the original recordings start time, effectively giving you a 3 hour window the show can start in. It'll handle differing lengths automatically.
