I have GBPVR enabled to get access over the internet. I use it to program show when I'm away from home (and that's a lot) now I want to play the shows I have recorded as well over the internet. When I log in and look at my recorded programs i can press the play butten, but there is no player that will play the files. And when I click to download I receive a file of a few kb and does nothing.
How can I solve this? Thanks

I think the only player that will work correctly is the VLC media player. A third party player. Others might also work.
Once VLC is installed assoicate the m3u type playlist with VLC. So when you download it should automaticly start playing the file. Keep in mind you need a fairly fast connection to your host machine for this to work well. 5-10Mbps I think. I'm not sure how this works over the internet but it works very well over a Lan. Over a lan it is best to use the direct method.
However, over an internet connection, I have found that ORB software works pretty well. http://www.orb.com It allows you to view your media over an internet connection and play it. But the advantage is that it will automatically scale the bitrate for the speed of the connection you're using. |
