No, it's not possible. The information is not always available and when it is, there is usually only a few hours of info so it was not really worth the effort for sub to add support for it.

not everyone has their pc hooked up to an internet connection.
I setup a PC for the boat for watching Tv out on the Chesapeake Bay.

Maybe someday it will happen.

Sorry, there is zero chance its going to happen.

As Whurlston mentioned above, for the vast majority of people there is only a few hours of listings. Its not worth the effort.

You can always take a copy of your guide in xmltv format and load it when you go to the boat. That method will give you up to two weeks of listings.

mc2xml works great with titantv for the epg
only problem is it dropped channel4.1 for some reason. no data for this channel, even though it is on the titantv website list

That's too bad. I use the OTA guide on my Samsung SIR T451 all the time, but it doesn't retain the data after you shut it off. I always thought it would be cool if I could get the same data from GBPVR and cut the (minimal) cost of Schedules Direct out of the budget.

I am very happy with the performance of GBPVR with Schedules Direct , just would like to take advantage of the existing free guide data being broadcast to me right now (and usable on my Samsung). I get 10-12 hours of guide data for about 10 channels downloaded via broadcast TV in about 1 minute. I have to change to a higher channel number and select guide again to get the last 9 channels and again that takes about 1 minute. If GBPVR did that and saved the data to the EPG I'd only have to schedule a download once per hour or so (as long as I'm not recording something) and I'd have a current enough EPG to function quite well. I could set programs to record the same way I do now, every week, this channel, this time slot... right?

Too bad that'll never happenSad

I really like GPBVR compared to MediaPortal so far. Much "lighter" on the system. Thanks for that! Smile

There is almost always a way to get the internet, although slower Smile

If you aren't too far offshore, another work around would be to see if your cell phone has a tether feature to use as a modem. Then if you ever get out on the water and forget your xml tv listings, you could update with schedules direct when needed.
Check your cell plan to see if there are additional charges.

first thanks for all the excellent work on this program guys. i think the only way it could possibly be better is if it were an open source project.

regarding the epg - i get about 2 weeks of programming data. it's not as detailed as schedules direct (the description isn't long/complete) but it's good enough. if GBPVR incorporated schedules, I wouldn't have to deal with a third party to get schedules.

i think ATSC EPG inclusion should be re-evaluated, especially in the coming months: after the analog shutoff and the power increases to ATSC transmitters, there may be more demand for this. For those who don't have the two week schedules that I do, they should contact their broadcasters and ask for longer and better EPG data.
