I'm new to GB-PVR, please help me out here...

1. Can I use both the Hauppauge WinTV-PVR 150 & Realmagic XCard together ?

2. I do not have DirectX 9.0b installed, but the latest version of DirectX 9.0c is already pre-installed into my PC. I saw there's some problems with DirectX 9.0c version conflict with BG-PVR, how can I find older version of DirectX ?

3. Can I use XCard Remote Control instead of Hauppauge's Remote ? If yes, how do I configure/select it with GB-PVR ?

4. Does GB-PVR compatible with my planned MCE System as below :-
a) Intel Celeron D 2.4Ghz/533Mhz/256KB.
b) MSI P4MAM2-V Micro-ATX Mainboard.
c) 256MB Kingston DDR333.
d) VIA S3 SavagePro Display (on-board).
e) Realtek Sound Card (on-board).
f) VIA Rhine II Ethernet LAN (on-board).
g) LinkSys 802.11G PCI WiFi Adapter.
h) 16x/48x Samsung DVD-ROM Drive.

5. How do I customised the Skin, I would like to add some pictures as background in GB-PVR ?

6. Do I need to download & install the extras/plugins found in the website ? I thought that the latest version is able to do it all.

1) Yes, you should be able to.

2) Most people are running 9.0c, but have downgraded the quartz.dll file as described here: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=5600

3) No, GB-PVR does not support the XCard remote. Its buttons are a poor match to the features supplied by GB-PVR.

4) Should be.

5) Look at the files in "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\skin" and follow you nose. It's pretty straight forward, but if you specific questions or problems then post detailed questions.

6) You dont have download any of the plugins unless they provide some feature that you need, but the base application doenst provide.
