No, I meant how long it would take to get the updated addon to be merged with the main branch. I'm very cynical of the XBMC development process these days.

They already have that. https://github.com/opdenkamp/xbmc-pvr-ad...extpvr.cpp the trouble is NextPVR doesn't feed it.

That old code that was there in pvrclient-nextpvr.cpp using EPG_GENRE_USE_STRING never seemed to do anything in XBMC, even though I was feeding it a genre string, which is why I ended up changing it to use the type/subtype as used by TVHeadEnd (and conditionally supplying these fields when the user agent indicated xbmc)

Here's a update the the Windows official build of 1.9.5 for Gotham with sub's last Frodo changes. I don't like some of the Gotham PVR changes this one masking out the current shows makes no sense but I am interested if the changes for API 1.9.0 all the timeline to show the buffer like NextPVR does.
