Hi,

Whilst I have configured the settings for audio/video in as far as next pvr plays live tv with sound, I cannot get it to record anything. If I click to record, it looks like it is (the program in the guide changes to red) but there is never anything in the recorded tv folder. I have set the folder, so it should be where I am looking.
I actually first noticed the problem (its a new install) via xbmc - that shows the program in the recorded programs list, but doesn't play, so working back I got down to just next pvr which presumably is where the fault lies.

Thanks in advance!

Attach logs please. If you can play live TV, then recording should be a piece of cake. If you were watching another channel when the recording was scheduled, then you might need dvbfix as mentioned before.

[Edit] Is your recorded tv folder in the All Users directory? If not, your problem might be a matter of permissions. Unfortunately I haven't used XP for several years and can't be specific.

Here you go, I always seem to get the message that it can't create the zip because the file is being used in another app, but it's done it anyway.

I did do the dvbfix thing, but it doesn't seem to have affected anything.

There is something wrong with the recording directory you've got specified. It doesn't have a drive let etc.

What "default" recording directory do you have set on the Settings->Recording screen?

Thanks - the problem turned out to be that I had nothing set on "default" and had added the location on the next line, which it was ignoring. I subsequently set the default location and it is working fine now. Even fouond some of the "failed" recordings... in drive c.
