MVP transcoding?

There is some very basic handling for digital recordings, which uses ffmpeg to transcode them to a format the MVP can play, but it comes with a lot of limitations (around skipping and resuming playback etc, to beyond where the transcoding may be up to). There is no support transcoding live tv.

I don't see me ever plugging in an MVP again, or making any further enhancements or changes for it. This is a very dated device, and just doesn't justify the effort to actively support these days.

sub, understood. I'll stop even thinking about this being an option as live tv is a must have. Sorry for wasting your time and Martin's .. It was worth a try.

TS transcoding used to work for playback of live tv too but like sub I have tried since 2012. It doesn't cost anything to see how it works.
