How would I go about enabling this feature.

There are enabled by default in the VideoLibrary in the Recordings Screen change this config.xml setting to true

<ShowMetadataScreensInRecordings>false</ShowMetadataScreensInRecordings>

Note if you do that I don't think you will see files in mixed folders, you will see files that aren't recordings, and you won't have access to failed recordings, archive and other recording features.

You can enable it using the checkbox at the bottom of the Settings->Misc2 screen. When you click on a show in the 'Ready' recordings list, it'll take you to one of the new screen.
