From your logs, it looks like you don't have a decoder installed/configured for WEBM:
Code:
2014-01-02 00:09:55.013    [DEBUG][1]    Graph filter list:
2014-01-02 00:09:55.014    [DEBUG][1]     - Default DirectSound Device
2014-01-02 00:09:55.014    [DEBUG][1]     - EVR Renderer
2014-01-02 00:09:55.014    [DEBUG][1]     - ffdshow Audio Decoder
2014-01-02 00:09:55.014    [DEBUG][1]     - LAV Splitter
2014-01-02 00:09:55.014    [DEBUG][1]     - http://r1---sn-2a0noxu-ajte.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?ipbits=0&mv=m&sver=3&ip=87.112.145.26&upn=3XVED38SRCk&sparams=id%2Cip
Since you have LAV Splitter, I assume you also have LAV Video installed. Open it's property dialog for LAV Video Decoder (you can use the Decoders section of NPVR settings to do this) and make sure that the "vp8" codec is checked. Alternatively, you can remove any 4x entry from your preferred streams and MP4 streams will be selected instead.

Must be something specific to my machines then. I'll make it an option to use the plugin or NEWA for sig decoding.

Bang! Sorted - many thanks! In fact I don't have the LAV video decoder installed - not even sure how the LAV splitter got mentioned there - but I enabled VP8 in ffdshow and it worked. Just that tiny bit of knowledge (YouTube needs VP8) was missing so I'm happy now. Thanks again.

I haven't had the YouTube plugin up & running since I moved to Win7 but as I'm about to put an update for my skin out I thought I had better confirm it's all running OK with it first before releasing a buggy skin into the wild.... now I'm trying to work out what updates I need for the version that's on the wiki for it too work properly & I'm totally confused..... help please.....

Thanks Martin I'm up & running again now apart from no sound (on this PC) for any clips I have looked at.... audio codec I guess

whurlston there appears to be a bug with the included default skin in the current wiki version in that is doesn't display the actual list when selecting "show list on right"

Not quite sure why you are getting that error. See if the attached fixes it (complete package attached with an updated parser.aspx)

This will be the new release if it does fix it. It includes a couple of other small bug fixes.

I haven't got as far as the NMT yet.... it worked once (without sound) on the PC & then refuses to work again... logs of both attached

BTW all that needs to be done to make skin2 work is to change the "name="ListItemNormal" location="0.77,15.45"" to "name="ListItemNormal" location="62.77,15.45"" & the same for selected as you are well aware....
