I have seen this happen twice now. Once about 2 months ago and again last night so not version related.

My HTPC has 3 tuners 2 SD and a PCTV HD Nano stick.

Last night Wife was watching 1 channel, 1 channel recording 8 to 9pm with 2 mins pre & 3 mins post padding, both happen to be on different muxes.
About 20:45 wife leaves room leaving TV on. At 20.58 two more shows want to start recording, unfortunately they are on different muxes again - so the warning appears on screen do you want to watch one of the recording programs or go back to the menu. NPVR goes back to the menu and continues displaying the warning screen. At 21:03 the first recording finishes. At 21:06 the computer freezes solid. 30 mins later when I return the screen is still showing the Menu with the warning over it and a time of 21:06 Only a push of the reset button gets the computer going again. Both of the recordings end after 8 mins.
The previous occasion it was also at 6 mins pas the hour that the computer locked up.

Perhaps a time out on this screen would improve how it behaves.
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh

note that I can only access live tv via the tv guide as I've removed "Live TV" from my menu so my screenshot shows the live conflict screen over the TV guide; from his description it sounds like Lao Pan's system actually returned to the main menu, suggesting he did use the "Live TV" menu item to get into live tv. I don't know if that will make a difference with the issue he reported.

F2 will probably get you LiveTV from the main menu.

Yep that's the one - Exactly. It was showing over the Program Guide as well, not the Main Menu.

I had a go at reproducing this today, but didn't notice anything going wrong. Could you supply the logs next time?

I'll try and engineer this on Saturday - It rarely happens with 3 tuners.
