I don't know if I am doing something wrong or not. I have the setting "EPG based" set, but the file disappears when I stop viewing.

In the log, I turned on Two and a Half Men around 7:21 or so, waited a few minutes, hit "record", and it said it was recording. After the show ended, around 7:31, I stopped viewing/recording. In the buffer directory, there were a number of related files (comskip generated), but no recording.

Is there something else I need to be doing to make this work?

Thanks.

Do you still run iGL? It is supposed to move the file to the recordings dir if it can, but it should take all the pieces.

Yes, I'm running iGL. The log file for this (and a previous attempt) both have an error that the file can't be accessed because it is being used by another process.

That looks like it might be a valid error message. I looks like you use ctrk-k but continue to watch live, so the live tv handle 190001 for the rolling file might have kept it open. Thinking about it unless you use --live iGL won't move them.

Further information - thinking that maybe iGL was part of the problem, I removed the PostProcessing.bat file.

First time, I started the recording and stopped watching. Show continued to record, stopped when the show was over, and was still around afterwards.

Second time, I started the recording and left the live tv going. This time, the show was deleted when I stopped watching. So that seems to be where the problem crops up, when live tv is still going. Seems to me this could be a common occurrence, and should be allowed.

EDIT: I should add, one time I hit the record button, didn't see the "recording" message pop up, and hit it again. Things seemed to hang up for a while, then I got a big error dump, something about "database in use", and when I exited that, NPVR said the requested tuner was needed to record a scheduled show (even though there wasn't anything "scheduled" at the time). Funny thing is, it DID record the show, the show didn't disappear, and it was somehow moved to the recordings folder (and this was after I took out the iGL call, so it wasn't that).

I haven't been able to duplicate that process, though, so I don't know what might have happened.

Okay, so I added --live to my calling of iGL, and it renamed the files, but didn't move them. I've attached the log file if that helps.

Do you have a Recording Directory or Extended Directory set up on D:\ iGL renames not copies. If not create and Extended Directory on D: for these and then you can Archive them as needed.

BTW I hope sub doesn't read this problem as iGL related, and not the real issue that you need to stop live tv to have have live tv save files.

Live TV buffer is d:\temp, recording directory is d:\capturetv.

Yeah, me, too. I guess I should stop posting with the iGL stuff here.

Sub I can duplicate the problem the ttfitz is having and it's the same scenario on both analog and HDPVR. If I keep watching live TV after Ctrl-K after a show rolls when I stop all .ts files are removed, The external Timing.Info is left behind.
