The path is not of a legal form when trying to access recorded material

Hi.

I have another problem after my installation of the latest version, that may or may not be related to my other thread about "Object reference not set..."

I tried to enter a specific set of recordings (Storm Chasers in this case) from the "Ready Recordings".

Trying to do so throws a JustInTime error box, with the title "The path is not of a legal form" and the attached content.

I have also attached logfiles and config.xml

Any suggestions?

The full error text is in the attachment in the file "ThePathIsNotOfALegalForm-error.txt"

The error text is "The Path Is Not Of A Legal Form" in the JIT window.

Edit: DOH - apparently I didn't save before zipping - it's attached here now... :o

I can't definitively see the error, but I get the feeling you've some how manage to end up with a recording with no filename in the database. If you want to zip and the npvr.db3, I'll see if I can tell you more.

You created a patch for me previously for that problem. The patch posted @ http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post474929 should have the fix included.

Thanks. The database is rather big (it really needs to be pruned) at 28MB and 3 MB 7z'ed I can't attach it.

I will shortly send You a PM with alternative access.

I tried to enter some of the other recording entries. Some threw the same error as above, however some looked like the left picture below (if there was more than one recording), some with only one recording like the picture to the right (with only Back and Play).

Whurlstons patch helped in the sense, that I can now enter the folders/recordings that threw an error before, like e.g. Storm Chasers

However, it still looks like the image attached above - no buttons or programme info.

Go into the Settings->Misc2 screen, and uncheck the 'show new metadata screens in recordings' checkbox at the bottom of the screen, then things should be back to the way you expect.
