I'm running GBPVR with a PVR150MCE and MediaMVP on a WindowsXP home system. The wife "must have" Closed Captioning on recorded shows so that we can watch them over the unruly children that we have. Can my configuration display CC? If not, are their any options (external software recorders, etc.) that can allow it? Is the MediaMVP the problem or the PVR150MCE?

I have gotten around this problem before with DVDs by encoding permanent subtitles. Is there a way to do something similar with an external software recorder and then just playing the file through GBPVR and MediaMVP?

Thanks for any help/info.
Chris
GBPVR system info intentionally left blank because I'm personally
insulted that you can't remember it from previous signatures.

I believe the 150 does not support closed captions and even if it did the mvp does not.

Hmmm...is there nothing out there that can convert CC to graphics and just permanently record it on the MPEG2 -- maybe as a post-process? From all the searching and reading I've done, I take it that CC just isn't a big thing in any other country than the USA. I'm rather shocked to discover that the PVR150 doesn't support CC when my rather old and cheap KWorld tuner card did (software encoder).
