Here are my logs. I seem to have more issues now. The EPG does not update correctly even though it should be embedded in the actual channel data.
Any ideas how I keep it up to date ?

In North America it's unlikely you'll get a good EPG from broadcast data. You'd usually only get a few hours. Realistically you need to use XMLTV or Schedules Direct in North America.

These broadcasts just do not have the full week of listings that you'll often get in other parts of the world.

Use Schedules Direct. As sub says, the broadcast EPG data is next to worthless for PVR use.

I think I will get Schedules Direct but first I need to get my recording to go to the NAS drive.

Use a UNC path instead of a drive letter, and note that NRecord runs as [Local System] so make sure your NAS is allowing everyone access.

I know you keep mentioning UNC path but I have a problem I am not sure where to put a UNC path in. The interface just comes up with a directory browse button.
Is there a file I can use to type in/modify the path? Can you tell me where to find it?
Thanks,
Bob

choose the location by browsing the network instead of local drives.

I tired got the network address in an still it wont record.
Getting concerned because its just not working.
My NAS drive is attached via USB to a Raspberry PI. I am running Samba and can copy files
to it, access it from Explorer but for some reason
NextPVR fails to write a file to it.
And idea of where to look next or what to do?

Did you get the bit about the NextPVR recording service running under a different Windows account?

You may be able to write files to the NAS when logged on as "Bob" but the NexyPVR recording service is not "lgged on" as "Bob". The NextPVR recording service is "logged on" as "system". The permissions on the NAS folder need to allow "Everyone" (i.e. all users) write permissions or, better yet, "Full Control" (or whatever your NAS has as the equivalent of "Full Control").

No I did understand that. I will look into this tonight and try to figure it out.
Since I plan to run NextPVR 24 - 7 so I can access it and record from it
Is there something smaller than NextPVR like a mini utility to test its ability to create and write a file.
This may take some figuring out on my part. IF I can get this to work with the addition of Schedules Direct
this will meet my needs without issue.
