I'm suggesting you're missing a MPEG2 DECODER, not mux. Your mux looks fine.

If you install something like PowerDVD or WinDVD this'll install a decoder. Also, the software that comes with many capture cards includes an MPEG2 decoder. For example, the Hauppauge WinTV2000 software installs the Intervideo Decoder.

Gotcha,

Now you've said last, i remember the last time i installed GBPVR, i already had WinDVD installed.

So the decoder is for VIEWING
and the Mux is for RECORDING

I have now installed WinDVD and selected the Intervideo MPEG2 decoder in the "Video Decoder" options, but when when i try livetv i get a black screen for about 10 seconds then a "Failure Playing Back File" error.

"Map Channels" now correctly displays the TV preview.

I have got live tv working by enabling Live Preview (won't work without it) but the video either freezes or stutters and is completely unwatchable. Same with recorded programs.
I am using the Cyberlink MPEG Decoder that comes with PowerDVD, and Encoder Pass-through.
My computer is a P4 2.4Ghz, 1GB DDR400 RAM, 30GB HDD, Hauppauge Nova-T PCI, and an ATI9250 128MB AGP card

Does it work fine with other apps? This is what I'd expect to see with the BDA device with poor signal strength.
