I needed to rebuild my npvr box so took the opportunity to upgrade to 3.4.8 - however I also needed to rescan the channels and have run into a problem in that "scan" causes npvr to terminate without an error message.

This used to be an issue with older versions.

Is there a way around this on 3.4.8 ??

This is under XP+SP3 using two "Hauppauge WinTV 88x DVB-S Tuner/Demod"s on FreeSat in the UK

Both tuners behave the same way.

Logs attached

BTW I have tried the "dbdfix" and it stops the crashes but only detects a tiny fraction of the channels :-(

Using XP it should work well until a second tuner runs at which point the system crashes. DBfix is an update which Microsoft produced but then overwrote in SP3 and never bothered to reissue. I gave up on XP when I got more that one tuner because of the problems. For me DBfix stopped the crash when the second tuner started but causes a channel scan problem where it only scanned the first and sometimes the second mux. The work around was a script to install DBfix for normal use and another script to remove DBfix so a channel scan worked. I gave up and installed Vista!

Here's a copy of the batch file I use to uninstall dvbfix before scanning.

Those logs don't show a scan. Can you do a scan, then post your npvr.log?

It looks like you restarted NextPVR before you zipped up the logs, because it just shows NextPVR starting.
