for some reason, I keep getting errors. here's another try i did:

First, I just let the show record and let comskip and comclean run in postprocessing.bat, and comclean gave me this log:

Quote:Resulting cutpoints: 0:8:21 0:10:58

C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr>"c:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\mpgtx.exe" -j -f -o "D:\tv\recordings\Married With Children\Married With Children_20050811_10301100_clean.mpg" "D:\tv\recordings\Married With Children\Married With Children_20050811_10301100.mpg" [-0:8:21] [0:10:40-0:21:39] [0:26:33-]
Resulting cutpoints: 0:8:21 0:10:58

but there was no cleaned file. it just renamed the original to showname_original..mpg

then I tried it manually on the same file, and got this:

Quote:D:\tv\recordings\Married With Children>"c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\comclean"
"d:\tv\recordings\Married With Children\Married_With_Children_20050811_10301100
.mpg"
Resulting cutpoints: 0:8:21 0:10:58

D:\tv\recordings\Married With Children>"c:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\mpgtx.exe"
-j -f -o "d:\tv\recordings\Married With Children\Married_With_Children_2005081
1_10301100_clean.mpg" "d:\tv\recordings\Married With Children\Married_With_Chil
dren_20050811_10301100.mpg" [-0:8:21] [0:10:40-0:21:39] [0:26:33-]

Does not even begin with a 00 00 01 xx sequence!

No success at all.

mpg is not a valid mpeg file

The system cannot find the file specified.

what's the deal? is there something wrong with my recordings?

come from mpgtx telling that the mpg file does not have a correct format or is empty

There is nothing I can do because I have not yet been able to rebuild mpgtx :o

Alright, just DL'ed 0.0.2 and re-enabled postprocessing.bat. Will record something and watch it in a separate media player (WMP) and tell if it freezes again.

sorry, it's still not working correctly. recorded two shows last night and let everything just work from postprocessing.bat. one show was cut perfectly. the other, the other, the log says it was cut and there are no errors, but all I have is the _original.mpg file. no cleaned file. waaaaah!

I mean, here's the log. it should have work, shouldn't it?

Quote:Resulting cutpoints: 0:0:46 0:13:23 0:12:36 0:11:14 0:12:16 0:16:50 0:11:12 0:14:50 0:7:25 0:6:23

C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr>"c:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\mpgtx.exe" -j -f -o "D:\tv\recordings\Ape to Man\Ape to Man_20050811_20002200_clean.mpg" "D:\tv\recordings\Ape to Man\Ape to Man_20050811_20002200.mpg" [-0:0:46] [0:3:40-0:17:4] [0:21:34-0:34:11] [0:38:12-0:49:27] [0:53:46-1:6:2] [1:10:21-1:27:11] [1:32:6-1:43:19] [1:47:56-2:2:46] [2:6:35-2:14:0] [2:18:14-2:24:38] [2:25:48-]

No, it could maybe not have worked because the log only records messages send to stdout and not to stderr.

That's why you see errors when running manually but not when running automatically.

I bet if you run manually you will see the error messages from mpgtx again.

Nope, I'm getting two errors. I recorded Family Guy last night, and it's not showing up in GB-PVR. That's the first error. The second error is the same as dirtygreek's. I only have a recording that says "Family Guy_20050812_02000230_original," no "clean" or anything else. I have a VPrj file and text files that have the episode name for the recording, so what's going on?
My postprocessing.bat goes something like this:
"comskip %1
call comclean %1
RenameRecording %1"
Any ideas?

Change the line
call comclean %1
into
call comclean %1 >>comclean.log 2>>comclean.err

and look at the comclean.log and comclean.err when the processing is finished
The .log file will contain the normal logging and the .err file the error messages from mpgtx

erik... i'm sure you weren't losing sleep over it, and the problem was an I - D - 10 - T error Smile Namely, I hadn't set the framerate to ntsc. Didn't even realize I had to do that - whoops!

Thanks for a great program man! it works!
