Out of the blue a few days ago all of my NMT's started getting black screen after loading NPVR. After several seconds they attempt to reload and this continues to cycle.

At the same time, the native N-PVR on my Windows 7 Home Premium box stopped playing videos. It still starts and shows the menu but when I try to play a recording or watch live TV the screen is black. When I press ESC it goes back to the menu.

The recording service is still working and recording shows. Also, when I attempt to watch live TV on the native N-PVR I can see the video file in the live TV directory and play it OK with VLC.

I have checked my shares and they look OK. Does anyone have any ideas?

Well to start the NEWA web service was not running when you did the test

"Unable to connect to the remote server"

This one doesn't look good

2015-07-27 20:38:07.012 [ERROR][23] Unexpected error streaming file: System.IO.IOException: Not enough storage is available to process this command.

at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)
at System.IO.FileStream.ReadCore(Byte[] buffer, Int32 offset, Int32 count)
at System.IO.FileStream.Read(Byte[] array, Int32 offset, Int32 count)
at NShared.RollingFile.Read(Byte[] buffer, Int32 offset, Int32 bytesToRead)
at Cassini.Request.StreamFile()

That's might be a memory issue.

Thanks for your response, mvallevand.

I found the problem. Somehow my config.xml got completely changed. It was missing all of my NMT MAC entries and lots of other things were different. I'm guessing it happened when I upgraded to 3.4.8 since the date of the saved old config file was about right. I shut down NPVR services and renamed the new and old config files to swap the old one in and all started working again. What's confusing is the timing of the symptoms. Anyway, I'll remember to check this after the next upgrade.

Note that the NMTChecker output still shows unable to connect to 8866 but it always has and NEWA works fine. What is the purpose of NMT connecting to 8866?

Thanks again for all you contribute to this project.

It should returns an error 404 when it is working properly

OK, yes, that is happening now. I expect the missing NMT MAC entries were causing the odd behavior.
Thanks.

FYI, here are the config files where config.xml is my working one. Is there anything missing that is a must for 3.4.8?

If you edit the version to 3.3.8 in the file and run NextPVR.exe -upgrade it will add what it needs.
