NPVR TV Guide

A while back I posted a problem of the guide not updating even though my xml file had updated. To my understanding NPVR would lose my channels after awhile. Has there been a fix to this. I am having to go in and remap my channels every few months.

There isn't any NextPVR issue that I'm aware, so it's almost certainly just something about your setup of xmltv file.
Hit the 'update epg' then post your npvr.log and I'll take a look.

It is successfully loading your xmltv.xml file. I can't tell whether you have any current listings in your file though. As Zeb said, you're probably finding you've got the same problem that most other mc2xml users have found - where mc2xml is no longer working, and not giving current listings. (See many other threads that have talked about it recently)

So my only alternative is a paid service??? I tried the ZAP2XML but their download link leads me to an unhosted page??? Does anyone have any other ideas?

honestly, yes, Schedules Direct is really your only supported option for tv listings in north America (it's available in many other countries now as well). It's a non-profit paid service setup specifically to provide EPG data to users of free tv software. The data isn't free. When you get tv listing data for free by another means, you're stealing it (ok, violating the license or terms of service).
mc2xml was a somewhat reliable and easy way to mis-appropriate microsoft's media center epg data for quite awhile, and of course many felt that they'd paid for Windows and therefore paid for the use of the epg data however they wanted, nevermind what microsoft's license said to the contrary. but that appears to be over for now.
