How do you delete shows you've recorded? Is the only way currently to go into explorer and delete them from the folder?

Are the Medium/low/high bitrate settings the same as medium/low/high DVD in the Hauppage WinTV2000 software?

You can delete them from the Recordings menu (if they are listed). If you want to delete other recordings then yes you need to do this through Windows,
