Hi: Please see attached logs. Last night the show Survivor did not record.
It was scheduled to record at 8 pm on Oct 7th.

I do have a blaster setup and normally the script that I call creates the object
LMRemoteKeyMap.IRDevices and changes the channel.

If I understand correctly, it does not look like the blaster script was called though.

This does not happen on every recording, but I do not understand what is different.
Any ideas?

Paul

yes, it does appear that the blaster was not called. if you try another recording on the same channel, does the problem repeat? that would indicate that the blaster definition for that channel has been messed up somehow, I'd go into Settings->Channels and clear and re-enter the blaster info for that channel.

I rebooted today, and tried it is currently recording another channel with no issues.
I have been getting this problem on and off, and it does not seem channel related.
I also noticed in the logs, that it is showing stream count is 2 for this recording.

I only have the one device (the analog one). I saw there was options to disable each of the other 3 which I have done so.
I checked the channel settings and they look ok.

you're getting an error response from schedules direct which is completely filling your NRecord.log so I can't see any other recordings. I'm not exactly sure what it's saying the problem is, but you're also not getting any listings for some channels. I'd suggest you clear the mappings for all the channels, maybe set them all back to ATSC/DVB, and remove the schedules direct lineup. then go back in and re-add the SD lineup and remap the channels, see if that clears the huge SD data dumps out of your logs.

Thank you.
I think there is a problem with the Schedules Direct feed. I have sent into my Schedules Direct account and de-selected the channels that I do not receive (have not paid for). When I try importing the lineup, I seem to see all of the channels. They all come up with the selected checkbox turned on.

In the menu Channels / Bulk Map, I did;
Set the EPG Source to DVB/ATSC EPG for all the channels.
If I come back in, it now shows None.
Then I changed the first one back to Schedules Direct with the appropriate mapping.
It then prompted me that the application could map the rest, which I let it do.
It was correct.

But I do not know how to remove the SD lineup and re-add it.

johnsonx42 needs a better editor that can handle long 842k character lines.

Your main fixes are

2015-10-06 09:02:34.119 [DEBUG][10] Not deleting old listings from Channel OID: 7335 (KCPQDT). List is empty.
2015-10-06 09:02:36.440 [DEBUG][10] Not deleting old listings from Channel OID: 7351 (TOONR). List is empty.
2015-10-06 09:02:36.909 [DEBUG][10] Not deleting old listings from Channel OID: 7356 (CNNCAN). List is empty.

The main thing I see is you had in those logs is you were just using one tuner perhaps you haven't mapped all your channels.

2015-10-06 22:00:00.009 [DEBUG][9] Recording not moved. No other available tuner could be found.

I have a Hauppauge HVR 1600 but am only using the S video input for it that is connected to my Set Top Box.
My settings show 4 devices including a QAM, ATSC, IPTV tuners.
The other tuners are disabled. If I try deleting them, they just come back next time.
So I don't know what else I can do with that issue.

I just noticed that there was a recording in progress.
When I tried playing it, it was blank.

Cancelled the recording, went into the guide and started the recording again.
It was blank.
Went into the guide and started a recording on another channel and the blaster fired and there was a recording.
Then cancelled the recording, went back to the guide and started the original program.
This time the blaster fired and the program is now recording.

So it seems like the program is getting stuck or something.
I checked the previous recording which was on Sunday and it was for the same channel.

honestly don't know what to tell you... I don't ever recall anyone having a problem with the blaster not being called when starting a recording. Plenty of problems with the blaster being called but not working, but that's doesn't appear to be your issue. The only thing I could think of was that somehow you didn't have the blaster properly defined for every channel, but that wouldn't explain it working sometimes but not others on the same channel.

Deleting/disabling the other versions of your tuner won't have anything to do with it; if you don't have ATSC, QAM or IPTV channels defined they won't be used.

Normally in a case like this sub would provide a patch to produce extra logging around the spot where the blaster is supposed to be called, but he can't currently provide any patches for 3.5.7 as we're already in pre-release testing for npvr 3.6. When the next version comes out (sometime in the next few weeks I imagine), if you're still having this issue post back with logs again.
