Hey,

I use my pc for personal use and as a PVR by using dual screen ( Monitor & Tv ).

GB-PVR is the best software ive seen, #### it beats windows mce!

Now when i use this app, i open it and drag it over to the tv display and then maximize it, but the title bar is still there and i was wondering if its possible to do this without the title bar being there?

Also, is it possible for the app to save its location so when i open it again it will go onto the other screen ?

Thanks,
Aaron

Hey Nightmare03

start GBPVr with the -noframe flag and that should remove the frame for you,

cheers,

Did you try pressing alt-enter? This should switch to fullscreen mode.

The maximise button in GB-PVR works like "maximise" in any other windows application - you still end up with a title bar.

I have a Pundit-R (ATI-IGP, so no nview in this case) and for some reason I always have to press Alt-Enter 3 times in order to get it properly full-screened on my TV. After the first press, it removes the title frame, but the window is not centered properly. The second press puts the title frame back on, and then the third press gives the desired result.

I am not cloning the display, because I want to be able to something else on the PC monitor whilst running GBPVR. So the monitor (DVI) is display #1 (at 1024x768), and the TV-out is display #2 (at 800x600).

In my case, I start GBPVR in a window. It then appears on display #1, I drag it to display #2, maximise it, and then press Alt-Enter 3 times.

Starting with -noframe makes GBPVR appear on display #1 in full screen, but then I cannot drag it to the TV (have to press Alt-Enter first). I would really like to have GBPVR start in full screen directly on the TV, not on the PC monitor. Would there be any way to achieve this, e.g. by specifying the coordinates of the top-left corner?

I tried setting the TV as display #1 and the monitor as display #2, but then the Windows task bar is on the TV, and not on the monitor [Image: biggrin.gif], which is no good either...

I know these are minor problems, but if it could appear fullscreen on the TV, I can set it up like that at startup, so the family can use the system without having to switch on the PC monitor, which would be a great feature, since in GBPVR you can do perfectly with the remote only!

I found a workaround by starting GB-PVR with the following command line options:

gbpvr -pos:1020,-22,800,600 -noframe

The numbers depend on the resolutions of the two screens and on the width of the window frame. I even don't need to use Alt-Enter anymore, because the frame is off the TV screen anyway. There is only part of the frame visible on the DVI, but that's not annoying at all. The TV screen just shows the real estate of GB-PVR and nothing else.
