Dual Core processor-can not find device

Desktop computer has a dual core processor. There are two recordings ongoing at this time and when attempting to watch a live channel, I receive the notice the capture device cannot be found. After recordings finish, that channel is found without any problem. Is this something that would be normal for this computer or should I attempt it again and submit the logs? Comskip would be operating at the same time. Overload?

Remove any tuners from list in settings that are not actually in the machine.also any stations not linked to present tuners
Its looking for the tuner when the others are in use

Thanks for a quick answer, but.....A little confusion here with your statement. The tuners are Homerun units that can't be "IN" the machine. If disconnected, they will not work. They are connected to the computer through the network. I don't have any stations in the list that are not linked to the tuners.

This is not likely to be an issue with computer capacity or performance.

Post some logs with a post telling us the date and time that the problem occurred so we know where to look in the logs. Thanks.

Just curious, is there a set of minimum PC hardware requirements for npvr server & client? I briefly searched through the wiki, but didn't see anything listed - although admittedly, I may have been too brief in my search.

It would be hard to specify a minimum requirement since the minimum depends on tuner hardware and the nature of the recordings. For digital reception where the received stream is a digital stream ... NextPVR, simply stated, does no more than copy the stream from the tuner to the disk. NextPVR is able to copy a dozen or more such stream to disk simultaneously without stretching a computer built in the last ten years or more.

The hardware requirement for playback depends upon whether the stream is SD or HD ... but most computers built in the last ten years or more include graphics processors that have video decoding built in. It is worth noting that a Raspberry Pi costing 30 UK pounds is able to play back HD content.

I will make an attempt to repeat the problem on Friday or so and post the log.
