Sorry - got busy and forgot to come back to it. I'm out the country at the moment, so not well placed to look into it right now.

I don't think it was anything to do with this. I think the problem was already there long before that (and for the record, I did following instructions for this)

I may be a little unsure myself. But I had no problem creating accounts before you switched servers. And I do have it in a pm from you that you say you manually edited a config file? WHY would you do that? If you are manually editing config files for pm wiki, unless you are 100% totes sure what you were doing why would you do that? Were you 100% totes sure? Hope you off away doing something nice as well as work :0)

I'm sure the problem relates to the directory permissions on the on the wiki directory on the new server. I know the old server had very loose permissions on the wiki directory. I want something a bit tighter than that, but I haven't been able to find a definitive list of what permissions pmwiki needs to be fully functional.

This isn't meant to be a competition. I am just trying to get to the bottom of this. I 100% disagree with you at the moment but am willing to be persuaded by you. Are you sure that you have added yourself as a an admin account?

Will give it a go. But only if please, unless you are going to be a wiki hero, please please please don't fart about with it again. Before asking one of us first? Surely not the biggest ask of all time ever? It is not perfect, but this is your documented product. Please don't mess without asking, long term it just causes more work, for all of us. And of course shouty me ;-)

The rollback does nothing for me. I now feel humble enough to bow to you and agree. This seems to be something with access permissions since the big migrate. i.e. server side related.....

I suspect there is a someone out there in the community that can fix it by editing one file?

Othwerwise not sure what to do?

Good that you locked down a load of stuff but obviously this bit locked out us wiki peeps!

I think you are back in NZ now? Either way my older years have made me more kindly and wiser and less energetic

I don't think I have any further input on this other than saying that it seems to be an access permission resulting from when you moved servers? Not sure I can advise how to sort? And after years of being a wiki fascist I realise the error of my ways. It is what it is. It is really good that some peeps still want to take the time to change a few things. BUT actually do we REALLY NEED it?
