update: the skin now works with the latest gbpvr-version. the screensaver has to be redone, the new net-radio-plugin works fine though (thanks to Danka).

download it on the wiki and enjoy!

Hey,

Just a small suggestion for this skin.

You should change the LiveTV font to Arial. It's Tahoma at present, and renders terribly on my screen, badly aliased. Arial, is nicely aliased and condierably more readable.

I think the mini-TV guide also has it too.

I've changed the XML file for my setup, but I'd suggest changing it by default too!

It's a great skin - and really makes GBPVR look professional!

not sure if this intentional or not or if it has to do with available real estate with the BlueMCE 2 skin but I noticed the yellow and blue icons on the bottom of the screen along with their text disappeared from the weather skin after updating.
Can this be added back?

Thanks again for the great skinning!

Is it normal that the video archive panel doesn't show up on the main page? I do have the list of pending recordings at the bottom, but I think that's part of the skin, and not the VAPanel...

In my case, the LiveTV font looks OK.
However, the fonts on the menu look horrible, and I've linked that to using the "clearType" method for smoothing edges of screen fonts. (Display settings -> Appearance -> Effects)
Here's a pic of what it looks like
So it might be the same problem for you, showing up in another area of the program...

If you goto the main menu folder and edit the skin.xml, you will have to uncomment the VAPanel line under <Special Elements> for it to show up on the main screen Smile

I had it on for a while, but was getting out of memory messages, not sure if thats been fixed or not...

I have used VA Panel for some time and haven't recieved any out of memory errors, so I think it is fixed. Also, if you install the new version of the panel (which I just posted on the wiki last night) you can now use the VA panel as the screen saver, so it will display useful informaiton like the time and wather while you are in screen saver mode. I plan to make a general annoucement about this later tonight, so this is kind of a sneak preview.

Getting an error using todays release and BlueMCE2 when trying the FM Radio button. Error is "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

Doesn't work :-( (that's with the latest VideoArchive from the wiki)

Code:
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.
