A little background could be helpful for you... maybe I just made NRecord mad after tweaking things a bit trying to solve other problems...

I've been having occasional problems with NRecord. It seems that some shows will stay "Recording" long after they are over. The stream doesn't actually continue to be written to disk, but things being in this odd state prevent NRecord from trying to record future shows. When this has happened, I've tried manually killing processes and restarting them, but that doesn't look to kick things off again. The only way I've found to get things back on track is to manually force an update of the EPG.

Also, full disclosure, I manually deleted failed recordings from SCHEDULED_RECORDING in the databases (i.e. WHERE filename = '' AND start_time < DATETIME()). This doesn't seems to have had any ill effects. Is there a different/better way to mass delete failed recordings for when NRecord goes away for a few hours?

Been great using NPVR for a week or so. Very glad I found it after giving up on WMC some time ago.
