On screen remote buttons

I don't have a remote yet, maybe I'll have to get one but is there a way to get some on screen buttons to push with the mouse to do common remote functions like skip, fast forward etc.

I know you can use the slider but it's very hard to use that to go 10 seconds back in a movie for example.

I also know there is the right click where you can pause and play and but no skip fast forward etc.

The keyboard shortcuts aren't a good option for me as the keyboard is too far away.

Any ideas for a solution would be much appreciated. Many thanks.

Also, you can look on ebay for MCE remotes. You can do nearly every function with one of those. The receiver just plugs into a USB port. I have one like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-MCE-Remote-Co...1535546526 and love it. Mine came with an HP receiver, but the Sony model should work just as well.

If you prefer to use a keyboard, there are several wireless ones that work well. The Logitech K400 is popular and often goes on sale, in the US at least, for $20. There are also some really tiny keyboards that are about the size of a game controller.

No, not currently, but I've added them for the next build.

Can we have a way of disabling them as well? For those of us that only use a remote and like the clean interface that we have at present.

You'll only see them if you move the mouse over the window. If you're using a remote then you wont see them.
