I have had this happen in the past and managed to catch it once again. After watching a recording and it was at the end and I was thinking it was about the time the "Recording end and delete message" would pop up, next stops working. At least that is what the message on the screen shows. I hope one of the "know how to read the logs person" can see the reason. 98% of the time this great program just works! I wonder what happened?

I'm walking out the door for a service call, but I'm sure whoever comes by to read the logs next would appreciate some additional info like what program you were watching, what day and time, what exactly you mean by "next stops working" (stops responding, exits without warning, error message, other?). Just wading through log files looking for some sign of a problem somewhere does not amuse us.

Dec 29, 2015 About 10:50 AM I think it was 48 Hours. It was a windows pop up that stated Next has stopped working. Click close on that window and the computer desk top shows.

I can't see any error in the logs ... the logs appear to show NextPVR stopping abruptly. I suspect that it may be due to something outside of NextPVR.

How often has this happened? Is there anything in the Windows Event Log?

Without anything in the Next logs, I would have to agree with you it was a Windows problem. It was a Windows message that popped up. It may happen twice a month. Not very often.
.
My time to be less than a "computer wiz." Where in win 7 can I find the event log? I searched and looked but not much luck.

Control Panel --> Administrative Tools --> Event Viewer ---> Windows Logs --> System ... Sorry, but I have no suggestions about what you might look for when you get into the log ... Just click on the messages that occurred at about the time of the hangup.

Thanks guys.
While you were giving an answer, I found the information, where and how.
It was a windows exception error.
Event logs below.

The event log has this ...

Quote:Faulting application name: NextPVR.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x5661e4eb
Faulting module name: ltc_game32-105773.dll_unloaded, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x564e5bda

The Internet thinks that ltc_game32-105773.dll is to do with Raptr ... Do you have Raptr installed? If yes, then you might want to go and discuss the problem with them Big Grin

It is installed and I stopped it from running to see what happens. Time will tell. Not a program I (think/guess) that I use. It may have came with the video board I installed when I set up that computer for Next.
.
Thanks for the information.
