I have a HDHomerun 2 tuner ATSC box on my network. The software found it and let me scan it and the first thing I noticed was that the channels all said they were SD, where I was expecting HD on a lot of them. The next problem was when I tried to watch TV live and it flashes some message to the screen so fast that I can't read it, and I don't get any TV. I did create the C:\Temp directory that the first error gave me, that one was a bit easier to read.
I would be willing to donate via paypal if I can get this software to do the job that Microsoft use to do before they took it away in Windows 10.
I own a license for PlayonTV, and while it is very good in many ways, it will not record from my HDHomeRun, and I have a very steady and beautiful picture from a tower mounted high gain yagi. I am a Ham Radio operator and I have a tower next to my home. That makes having a good spot for a TV antenna no problem. I use to use a rotator on the TV antenna, but I found that there is one position that gets the far stations well, and the strong stations I get pointing ion any direction, so it all works out. The coax is RG6 and it goes to a 4 way amplified splitter in the attic, and that feeds 4 TV's, with my HDHomerun being one of them.
I will look more inot the software after I hear back from whatever anyone will tell me from this first post.
I did try to search the forum for HDHomeRUn, but I either did it wrong, or it did not find anything and I did it right.
When I click on Live TV, it now flashes "Please Wait" to the screen and nothing happens.
Thanks for any help with this, Joe
