I have looked for the last few days at several solutions to the problem I am experiencing. I have tried several different codecs including SAF6 but to no avail.

What is happening is I do not receive any audio and just a blank screen. This happens just after I click on a program in the guide. I have added to a thread that was started a while ago, which does show that I have been digging around the forum, and the wiki as well.
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ht=decoder

I was asked to try a recording then play it back. See if the file exists and that it was not a 0 byte file. No file exists when the recording is finished so obviously there is no size to it. It did create a folder to store the fanart but that was all.
If I go into the recordings menu and look at the program I tried to record it states 'Failed' and has a small description in red in bottom right corner --> 'No errors, but no data delivered. This is usually because the device failed to lock a...'
the rest of the message was cut off.
Looking throughout the forum it appears maybe my firewall was blocking three files(nrecord.exe and I don't recall the others off hand) but when I checked there were exceptions on all three and I also went into my modem settings and opened a udp port for 8866. Still get the same errors.

I use zap2it for my listings and the xml file appears to be good, since I can see the programs in the guide. But that may mean nothing, I dunno.

I have attached the latest log file, or a link to the latest one here:
http://forums.nextpvr.com/attachment.php...1457130216

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

NextPVR has several components. The front end is the program that you see on screen and that displays the TV Guide and is where you schedule and playback recordings. The Recording Service runs continuously in the background and schedules recordings. The third component is one or more ndigitalhost programs that are started by the Recording Service. It is a ndigitalhost process that connects to the tuner and receives the video stream and writes the recording to disk. All of these processes produce logs and we need to see all of the logs.

You can zip all of the logs at Settings --> About and clicking the button. Thanks.

Thanks,
attached are all the files as requested. As far as the Recording Service log goes, if it is not in the package then let me know where to find it...thanks for the help.

I started a new recording just now, and if I look in the recordings folder I see the .ts file. But each time it fails it disappears. I'm just trying to feed as much info to you guys as needed.

Thanks.

Sub,
this is where I get confused. I see the types of analog capture devices that NPVR supports, and I probably don't understand the question. I have a tuner, TX-SR507, which connects to my Wintel Mini PC. The tuner is capable of handling HDMI and several audio/video options but I think you might be referring to Hauppauge HDPVR, HDPVR2 and Colossus or similar which as far as I know are not on my system. I hope I haven't missed something as simple as not having everything installed to make NPVR work.

Where are you trying to get your TV signals from? ie, a USB tuner stick connected to either an antenna or digital cable, or an analog device connected to a cable company set top box, or a HDPVR2 connected to a set top box, etc

...or are you not wanting to use any physical device, and are just trying to watch/record live tv from the internet? NextPVR is not meant for this purpose. It's for using physcial capture devices to capture TV.

Ahh, OK, the signal comes from the cable company into their tv box. Currently I am paying for a satellite digital service. This signal goes into their TV box which I pay for. Everything is run through my tuner. If I want to change to NPVR, via MY tv box, which is a dual boot system I run in Windows, not Android, I change the input on the receiver to the correct source. It all outputs in HDMI to my TV.

Did that make sense?

No, I want to be cable free, I have Kodi installed and love it, but can't get the Live TV to work, or recordings.
