NPVR hangs when I shut down a file

This is a relatively new problem: when I shut down a video or recorded program on the client NPVR will occasionally hang. The only way I can get out of a black screen is to click repeatedly on that screen with the mouse. Then I get a message that NPVR is not responding and do I want to quit. It will then do so and I'm returned to a Win7 opening screen. NPVR will then open just fine and work fine for a few times and then repeat the who hanging problem again. Any ideas on what's causing this. I enclosing the client log files, although 7 zip says they're still in use even though I've shut NPVR down.

A little follow up on this topic, although it doesn't appear anyone has any ideas about it. I found an earlier posting about solving the problem by not getting artwork from Schedules Direct. Unticked that in both the server and client but that hasn't solved the problem. In fact the only artwork selection is TVDB in both server and client. I'm thinking this has something to do with a connectability problem since the 'cannot connect with server' notice appeared when I moved from Video to Recording, although I clicked enter once and it went away and Recording did open. But, first time I tried to close a file in Recording after this, I got another blank screen and I had to bail out of NPVR. It's not the end of the world, but it is frustrating.
