Hi All,

I have a small problem of a Scheduled Recording not being scheduled.

I have scheduled a program (Gogglebox) to record on channel 10 (SD) and 10HD (1080i MP4) on 2016-04-14 at 8:30PM.
The only item appearing in Pending Recordings is the item for 10 (SD).

My aim was to check the quality difference after conversion to MP4 at 702x400, but it looks like I may have found a bug

I have attached a copy of my npvr.db3 database if that helps Big Grin

I hope some one can out the error of my ways

Does your EPG data source provide the data that NextPVR uses to decide if a show is "New" ? Previous reports have suggested that recording "New" episode is only reliable for US users of Schedules Direct. Is NextPVR able to decide on "New" for some channels and not others?

It may be that NextPVR only records one show because ... Settings --> Recordings --> "Avoid duplicate recordings where possible" is ticked on.

The avoid duplicates option also relies on data in the EPG including, for example, series and episode information.

Yep, it's probably this. ie, it knows it already has that particular show scheduled, so doesn't bother scheduling the second version of it.

I think there's still a config.xml setting <AllowCrossChannelDuplicates> which should allow you to get what you want.

(so that's not a bug, it's a feature!)

Hi All,

All fixed, I just had to untick "Avoid duplicate recordings where possible" :o

All bug's are FEATURES, at least when I was coding for a living Big Grin

"AllowCrossChannelDuplicates" does not seem to work in this case ..... same frequency SD and HD subchannels.
10 is Freq:550500 SID:1573 and 10HD is Freq:550500 SID:1572

10 is Freq:550500 SID:1573 and 10HD is Freq:550500 SID:1572

I expect that NextPVR will use the channel and not the frequency.

It has nothing to do with the tuning parameters, it looks only the logical channel numbers (10 and 13 in this case). Did you actually try it? What you are doing is specifically what the <AllowCrossChannelDuplicates> setting is there for.
