After I upgraded to Windows 10 last week, I installed NextPVR. I see that a newer version has been released since I installed and configured the program. Do I have to uninstall the older version, or can I simply download the new version and install it successfully on top of the current version I have installed? If I do have to uninstall and reinstall the program, what is the proper way of cleanly uninstalling the older version? Thank you for your kind assistance in advance.

You can just run the installer. It'll upgrade any components and keep all your current settings.

Thank you so very much for the assistance! Since I am still new to NPVR I would like to ask one more question. I pay for several premium channels like HBO and Starz is there anyway to watch and record those channels? When I attempt to open any of the premium channels I receive no picture or sound.

It really depends what type of setup you're using. If you're using a HDPVR2/Colossus2/Rocket device, connected to a set top box, it'll be able to record/view all the channels.

I'm using a Home Run Prime cable card tuner. I see that the premium channels are scanned during setup, but I can't watch or record them. Is there any more information that I can supply? Thank you so very much.

If they're copy protected channels, then there is nothing you can do about it with a cablecard tuner. NextPVR can only view the channels marked copy-freely.
