I am having all kinds of problems with the scheduler dropping shows. Its fairly simple to recreate.

Go into the TV Guide, select some shows for a one-time record over the next week. Exit and look at the "Pending" list. They all show up correctly. Now, go back to the TV guide and select a show for WEEKLY recording BEFORE one of the one-time shows. Exit and go look at the "Pending" list. The first show of hte WEEKLY re-occuring show will not appear in the "Pending" list, nor will it be recorded. Subsequent shows show up in the "Pending" list, but not the original show you clicked on for reoccuring recording.

I have verified this over the last few days, I don't think my setup is anything out of the oridinary... I have the latest GBPVR 09310 and a Hauppage PVR-350. At first I just upgraded GBPVR, but after I had all this scheduling problems, I re-installed gbpvr from scratch. I still have the same problems.

Is there a size limit on the number of scheduled recordings that is wrapping? I do have ALOT of scheduled recordings. The "Record Once" schedules always seem to work fine, but the "Weekly This Time Slot" recordings don't seem to be as stable.

If any of this is unclear, I'd be happy to explain it. I did look through the logs but didn't see anything related to the scheduler, only recording attempts.

I just tried this, and it seems to be working fine here.

Remember, if you do a season recording it only schedule recordings which start in the future, not the past. So if the show you doing a season recording on started a few minutes ago, it wont be included in the list.

My test was starting a seasonal recording a few hours into the future.

I set a bunch of one time records for next week, then added a reoccurring schedule for a program later that night. The first program (for later that night) doesn't show up on the pending list, and it wasn't recorded. Future episodes (1 week in the future) do show up, but I haven't waited the week yet to see if it gets recorded.

I will wipe it out and try fresh again just to see if I can provide more details.

Are there any residual registry keys that I should blow away for a fresh install? Normally I just Add/Remove Programs then manually delete devnz/gbpvr from Program Files.

I'm also having some trouble with the daily/weekly scheduled recordings, as detailed here: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=5...tcount=141

I did some more testing to see if I could come up with a clear, reproducable pattern, and it seems that scheduling a weekly recording appears correctly in GBPVR, but via the web interface, it shows the the scheduled recording as being a four-hour timeslot overlapping with the smaller, intended time slot (I wonder if this is related to a time-zone issue, since it's always four hours?), even though the "correct" scheduling info is shown for the reoccuring recording in the GBPVR interface. Additionally, if the scheduled program plays more than once in that four-hour timeslot, both instances are set up to record.

I also tried setting up a regular daily reoccuring recording for "The Daily Show" from 11pm - 11:30pm. It worked fine and scheduled instances at the correct times for the first week, but at the start of the second week, it scheduled instances to record the re-run after the show as well (from 11:30pm - 12am). <clueless>

Yet another odd thing I just discovered...last night, my gbpvr.mdb file was around 8MB. Now it's at 35MB, after my testing. That seems like an abnormally large jump in file size.

If I go into the GBPVR "Recordings" section to the "Reoccuring" subsection and select "Update" on one of the scheduled reoccuring recordings, sometimes I get an "Object reference not set to an instance of the object" error. Having had this runtime error plenty of times in .NET myself, I'm not sure this is related to the scheduling problems I'm having, but it could be.

If nobody else is experiencing these errors, then I assume my installation is corrupt. If I don't see any other comments about it, I'll try reinstalling it fresh, again.

Reading this post cleared me up a bit about the whole 4-hour recording timeslot thing.
