Occasionally no recording made

I uploaded screen shots showing the closed captions in v3.6.6 also another recent recording.

I am using the SoftPVR add-on to a Hauppauge Analog (settings show it as 418).
Been running that way since I setup NextPVR long time ago.
Is it possible that something is incorrectly setup?

Odd. The HVR-1600 must be producing this Closed Caption format. I can't see how any previous version of WinTV could have read these captions though (unless there is another copy of the captions in a more normal place also in the files). Regardless, the next build should play them correctly.

I think most people using closed captions are using digital tuners, which is a different kettle of fish.

I am using the S Video input to my HVR-1600 which comes from my STB. I don't know if there is another way to utilize the digital tuner in my HVR-1600.

I have upgraded my Next PVR to v3.8.3 (160929) and I am able to see the captions.

You'll always been using analog if you're getting TV from a set top box. You'd use digital ATSC if you were getting your signal from an antenna
