I decided to try the Modern web TV stream again since Slitzer was experiencing the same thing as I was a while ago. I still have the same issue where the web browser stops the stream after a few minutes in this case. The logs and web/temp log are attached.

Can you do another test run, but restart the recording service first to reset logs, the run it up again (in Chrome or Edge), and zip the logs immediately when it happens, and post the the logs again?

There is a message in there about a lease renewal problem, which I'd like to investigate further, but I can see it carries over multiple nrecord.log files, and it's a bit hard to track why it started. Hopefully a more concise set of logs will show the scenario more clearly.

That lease renewal problem is very common with Kodi timeshifting http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post506553 hopefully you can find it. given the ffmpeg output I don't see it related to why the server received

I restarted the server and then started a TV stream with Chrome. I watched one channel for about 30 min with no problem. I then changed channels and watched for a few minutes and then it stopped with the error message and never recovered. The web/temp directory continued to fill up with files and the NPVR device status icon stayed red until I closed the browser.

I attached the logs, web/temp log for the stream that failed, and also FYI the Chrome console output during the stream.

Thanks for looking at this.

How do you change channels? Do you stop playback first? The client is requesting the change many times

I changed channels by selecting the back arrow (in the web page) to go back to the TV Guide and selected a different channel. Then after I changed channels and the stream started I selected the settings button to change the bit rate to 1080p 15Mbps. Then it was in this loop where it started to play then stopped then started.. until I selected the back arrow (in the web page) and tried it again. Then it worked ok for a few minutes and stopped.

The starting and stopping thing I haven't seen before today. Don't know if it's related to the original issue.

Here is a screen grab of the browser (with developer tools console enabled) when the stream stops.

There is no support for dynamic resolution changes like YouTube. MPEG DASH or HLS transcoding would take a lot of CPU. Not sure fi this is the source of the problem remember to change before playback.

It is not possible to change the bit rate before the stream starts. The settings option is only available until after the stream has been initiated from the web browser.

I can run the test again without changing the bit rate setting and post the logs if that would help. The stream will always fail no matter what the bit rate happens to be.
