NPVR on Android?

Well, it will cost you but you don't have to subscribe to Emby premiere. You can just purchase the android app separately. I think that it was 2 or 3 dollars. I'm not absolutely sure that this allows you to watch videos outside your home lan but I think that it does. My phone doesn't get a good enough data connection at my house for me to try it out right now....

just chiming in on how i have mine setup...

hdhomerun prime box with cable card....
tied to NextPVR for DVR features
mcebuddy converts ts to mp4 @1080 (gotta figure out why files are so huge though) and copies them over to my plex server
plex inventories in
with hdgrandslam plex plugin - bit archaic to navigate as in when you go into a channel you have to back out and scroll the list again but it works on live tv... in and outside of the house..
I dont have plexpass (yet as i will most likely get it to be able to have users to control kids control)

id love to be able to use nextpvr into plex... for now nextpvr is a huge add-on for me... dvr feature... and bedroom (nuc) cable box... new nuc is having issues and its in another thread...

I am using HDHomerun Extend tuners for OTA. I do not have a Plex Pass and do not use Plex's DVR feature. I have Plex access the directory where NPVR records the shows so they show up in the Plex interface. This allows access to the recorded shows. For live streaming from the HDHomerun tuners I just use the Plex Plug-in "HDHR Viewer" in a Plex channel. Then if you use the Plex android app (you will have to pay $5 for this if you don't get a Plex pass) you can access recorded and live streaming programs from your android device (phone, tablet, etc.) both locally and remotely.
