NPVR client is sometimes not working. Sometimes when I try to browse to the PC which is running NPVR, using the "URL" 192.168.1.8:8866, I get a "cannot connect" error.
My router is set to allocate the same reserved address 192.168.1.8 to the NPVR PC and the client is on port 8866.
Using NMAP, which probes all the ports of an IP address, I can see that the NPVR PC is sometimes not listening on port 8866 (when I can browse, NMAP shows the PC listening on that port, so it's a valid test).
The cure seems to be to reboot the PC: stopping and restarting the main console program or the recording service do not seem to be sufficient.
One time it happened spontaneously with no apparent cause; another time it happened after I rebooted the NPVR PC - when it came back, nothing was listening on port 8866 and I had to reboot again.
Any idea what could be going wrong?
It's version 3.9.2 on Windows 7.
