I Cannot stop a scheduled recording using 'cancel' or 'delete'!

How can Is top a recording that I started through Xguide? None of the usual things work. like going into Recordings, selecting the recording and pressing Cancel

that should work. I cancel by doing a call into the recording class. Is the show in progress or pending?
