Is there any way to prevent this "flashing" from occurring?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKLFnUlJ7d8

It only occurs in the bottom-left corner while watching live or recorded TV, and only when I have the "override high DPI scaling performed by System" checked. I can post logs if needed, but did not seem necessary for this.

Running on Win10 Pro x64, Intel HD Graphics 630, hooked up to a 60" TV.

Thanks

I see the same on windows 8, also with onboard Intel graphics. It seems to vary in intensity with different drivers. I also get slightly stuttery video when the osd is active, then buttery smooth once it disappears. Never had these issues with a discreet ati card (on any os).

I can tell by the look of it that it's caused by your video drivers. Other than looking for updated drivers, I don't really have any suggestions about how tof ix it.

I see the same thing on Intel 505 graphics, although usually not as severe, and sometimes not at all. Oddly, it seems to only affect the OSD overlay as shown in the video, not other OSD elements such as the TV Guide or Now/Next when overlaid on top of video.

It also seems to be related to the glitchiness of the video when changing channels, which I see in the video on other systems with ATI graphics although the OSD isn't affected on such systems.

Have you tried turning the Image Enhancements off in the Intel Graphics Utility? I've had some success with this.

I'm reminded of the nvidia 'video enhancement' which made everyone's face flash! Big Grin

Yeah, that corner is designed to show posters, logos, etc, so perhaps it's related to that. You're right in that I've never seen it happen on any other osd. I'm sure sub could fix it Wink

Disabling "Film Mode Detection" in the Intel Graphics Control Panel seems to do the trick.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I disabled everything I could find in the Intel settings under "Video" (including "Film Mode") and I am still having the problem. Will post a screenshot of the settings to see if I missed anything.

(If nothing else I finally figured out why the skin tones have been so terrible since I recently upgraded to Win10, so I'll count that as a win.)

Watching the video the timeline is not incrementing correctly. Does it work better with the legacy TS reader?

Logs would be good to see if you are getting Direct3D support or not, my bet is you are not.

I have this issue on my Win 10 laptop with Intel 620 graphics. I disabled all the "enhancements" in the Display Settings including "Film Mode Detection" and the problem persists. I am not using "override high DPI scaling" in the app's compatability settings. On my older Win 8.1 HTPC with Intel Graphics there is no problem.
